VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

We are looking for a volunteer to teach two young men to read (both of whom are native English speakers). They both require 1-1.5hrs/wk and need 1:1 as they are still learning their sight words. At this stage, we are using Wed & Fri mornings but that is flexible. An immediate start would be ideal. Please contact the Junction Community Centre on 8341-1334. Thank you.

The first of our cross-cultural sessions for 2018 between the Aboriginal, Muslim & African communities. With over 50 people in attendance, conversation that flowed for 3 hrs, and women who don’t always get an opportunity to speak out talking about their culture & beliefs - made for a very successful day. Thanks to all involved including Sheik Suleiman who gave the men a mosque tour & insight into Islam. Look forward to coming together again in a couple of weeks.
