Zoom – Android Phones

Installing Zoom App

1. Open the Play Store
   
2. Tap on the Search box
   
3. Type in Zoom
4. Tap on the first Zoom on the list or tap on the magnifying glass button your keyboard
   
5. Tap on Install
   

Joining a Meeting

NOTE: You do not need to sign up or sign in to join a meeting.

Joining a Meeting with a Meeting ID

1. Open the Zoom App
   
2. Click on Join a Meeting
   
3. Type in the Meeting ID as given by your instructor
   
4. In the second box type in your name as you wish your instructor to see it.
5. Tap on Join Meeting
6. Tap on Join with Video (or join without video if you do not wish to be seen)
   
7. Tap Allow if asked to allow Zoom to take pictures and record video
8. If you see a screen saying “Please wait, the meeting host will let you in soon.” you will need to wait for your instructor to allow you in. If you still see this screen after the session is due to start, please contact your instructor.
9. Tap on Call via Device Audio
   
10. Tap Allow if asked to allow Zoom to record audio

Joining with a Link

1. Tap on the link provided by your instructor
2. Tap on Open links with zoom and tap on always
   
3. If asked for a name, type in your name as you wish your instructor to see it.
4. Tap on OK
5. Tap on Join with Video (or join without video if you do not wish to be seen)
   
6. Tap Allow if asked to allow Zoom to take pictures and record video
7. If you see a screen saying “Please wait, the meeting host will let you in soon.” you will need to wait for your instructor to allow you in. If you still see this screen after the session is due to start, please contact your instructor.
8. Tap on Call via Device Audio
   
9. Tap Allow if asked to allow Zoom to record audio
