
The Statement of Acknowledgement (Kaurna – Adelaide):
We acknowledge this land that we meet on today is the traditional lands for the Kaurna people and that we respect their spiritual relationship with their country.
We also acknowledge the Kaurna people as the custodians of the Adelaide region and that their cultural and heritage beliefs are still as important to the living Kaurna people today.
We also pay respects to the cultural authority of Aboriginal people visiting/attending from other areas of South Australia/Australia.

The project was funded by Skills SA, Community Centres SA, Australian Hotels Association and the City of PAE; plus brought together through the great workmanship of ‘Revive & Maintain’, ‘Distinct Electrical’ and our team of volunteers. We have 2 free SAPOL training sessions open to the local community:
1. ‘Managing Aggressive Individuals’ on Thursday April 9th from 10.30am-12pm at the Junction.
2. ‘Scam Awareness’ on Tuesday May 19th from 12.15-1.30pm at the Junction.
PLUS on Mondays (during term), we have Poetry Therapy (read, listen, enjoy, share yr insight and values) followed by Music Therapy (enjoy didgeridoo and the sharing of cultural information).
The Youth Hub won’t be run on Easter Monday - but WILL be run during the school holidays!

The kids tried a range of activities from Aerial Silks to Hip Hop dancing, drumming, playing didgeridoo, games and craft. We really appreciated the feedback from the parents - so next week we’ll have some breakaway spaces and sensory areas set up - plus a table tennis table! The activities will vary slightly from week to week (we’ll be including cooking and singing). $10/child for 2hrs of unlimited activities. Join us every Monday from 3.30-5.30pm.
